Seluurin's Palace
Seluurin's Palace is the name given by many takma civilizations on avishraa to a celestial object in their world's sky.
The Palace is, in fact, a spiral galaxy with very well-defined arms. It is the galaxy in which Avishraa's star, Mikurmiya, originally formed; although the system was ejected from the main body of the galaxy some fifteen million cycles ago, in cosmic terms Mikurmiya is not far from it and remains loosely associated with it.
From Avishraa, Seluurin's Palace is a very large and fairly bright and bluish, if somewhat diffuse, object, and stretches across a large portion of the sky. It is seen from a modest angle from the edge of the disc, so that it is possible to make out the disc's general shape and the presence of the spiral arms. As the name implies, the imperial_religion traditionally considers it to be the home of the Lamna seluurin, goddess of Order and one half of the primal Diarchs. The bulge at the galaxy's core is assumed to be the terrible light of Seluurin Herself.
Avishraa's other neighboring galaxy, the Mists of Khezri, is largely on the opposite side of the sky from Seluurin's Palace, but portions of the two appear to extend toward each other, and there are times when these are in the sky simultaneously. Adherents of the Imperial religion traditionally consider such times to be especially prone to conflict or major societal upheaval.
