Avishraa Reloaded

Avishraa and its associated material were created as background for a species of dragon (called, appropriately enough, “Avishraans”) that its creator, Shyriath, made use of in roleplaying over a number of years: first in an extended community on the InsideTheWeb messageboard hosting service, and then on the Amberworld boards. The amount of material involved was wildly out of proportion with its necessity, since much of it was not actually needed and most of it never saw the light of day, but it kept Shyriath occupied instead of stewing in the dark moods of adolescence and young-adulthood. The setting also inspired another roleplayer, pinkgothic, who proceeded to bravely continue on with it even after Shyriath himself dropped off the face of the earth, and ve and Rehchoortahn developed the setting without access to Shyriath or his material.

In 2012, Shyriath, roaming the dark, fetid corners of the Internet, and feeling bored, had decided to start a worldbuilding project. Although this had originally been intended to result in a completely new world, a chance reunion with pinkgothic caused him to change his plans: he would instead use Avishraa as the focus of the project. This wiki was founded as a home for that project.

Those things about the original ITW/Amberworld setting that the author can remember - especially where they differ from, or are important to, the current project - will be found at this page, and if necessary, in any pages beneath it in the hierarchy. Likewise, there will be a section of this wiki dedicated to recording the Thuban continuity developed by pinkgothic and Rehchoortahn.
