Tantines are the nearest Avishraan equivalent of mammals. Like most higher life forms on Avishraa, they are hexapods.

Tantines are characterized by a lack of scales, being instead covered by hair or fur, and by compact aural structures. Unlike Earthly mammals, they do not have mammary glands; feeding of the young is performed through regurgitative actions.
