Overall description and build
Einriss has a fairly unremarkable appearance, teal in colouration, with the perceived texture of his skin changing on his underside, but not the effective colour.
It appears that some event caused Einriss to lose a part of his right wing's membrane, now replaced with a texture more reminiscent of leaves than of skin, leather or scales.
Facial description
His irides, similar to his scales, are generally teal, but brighter and clearer, occasionally giving them a slightly eerie appearance of being lit in a different light altogether.

Einriss both obsesses about and is completely clueless about social matters. He attempts to reason his way through them, but he has no intuition in the matter to guide him, and only very little empathy. He has learnt his way around various social rituals and platitudes, though they often ring especially hollow coming from him, without that their obvious insincerity would register as malicious.
Similarly, Einriss has almost no feel for social hierarchy, and would, for example, excuse himself to inform a beggar he frequently converses with if a matriarch were to ask him to change his route. He does, however, understand the value of loyalty - a matter that only worsens his blindness to hierarchy.
He is not altogether unpleasant to converse with, though he is fairly minimalist in his communication unless given opportunity to speak about his projects. His enthusiasm for them stems from his belief that he has an honest chance to happen upon something that might improve many people's quality of life.

Generally speaking, Einriss has a positive outlook and often misses on negative or threatening subtexts or implications. With some individual topics he has learned (the hard way) that people are not as carefree as he is, such as with his bioengineering projects, which have disgusted some takmar in the past - but he does not really understand their problem and thus struggles to extrapolate from the encounters to broader ethical notions. He can see the benefit to tampering with takmar, to make them hardier, but fails to see the possible problem of producing failures along the way. In many ways, one might consider him a mad scientist - glorifying knowledge and technological progress practically for its own sake - though he is more calm and reserved than said stereotype, and in fact fairly quiet.
If a topic does require factoring in potential danger, he struggles to fathom it, though there are some dangers that come to mind more readily than others. He is, for example, aware that war or other physical conflict is a concern for many, and that sometimes people turn out not to be trustworthy and might harm another person, but the subtleties of such matters are entirely lost to him. Despite his positive outlook, this sometimes makes him oddly paranoid as he considers what could go wrong, without having a grasp for the realism of the hypotheticals.

Einriss' combination of alchemic and generative magic has guided his personal projects along a path of what humans might call bioengineering. He himself speaks of 'designing organisms' and takes a great joy out of said projects despite a failure rate that increases with the complexity of the creatures he works on, since he cannot fully predict the outcome of his alchemic meddling on the final organism, lacking any Span mana that might allow him to forge a more accurate path.
As with many users of magic, the matter is mostly the product of his intuition, with his alchemic perception peppered with qualia that are unique to him, and he struggles to put his methods into words.

Einriss was born and raised within the reaches of the Citadel, his contact with the outside world largely restricted to tales, depictions, and such details as vegetation or fauna introduced to the Citadel by outsiders. While his skill as a Lifegiver had never been in question, he took little interest in medicine as there was sufficient cover of that topic in the local area and he simply had no interest in the social status it might grant him, so he simply specialised on gardening and agriculture, viewing them as grand problems to be solved once and for all, quite possibly by altering the architecture of the valley flora.
Nonetheless, despite his aspirations, all in all, there was never really anything particularly remarkable about his life until Dlyss took him under her wing and began to give him projects more interesting than any he had previously worked on.
