 The **Brightness** is the hot, dry desert lying near the center of [[geography:Sekhaa:]]. It is bounded on the south, and separated from the [[geography:sekhaa:region:Cerulean Tangle]], by the [[geography:sekhaa:region:Spine of Sirdanth]] (also known by [[person:an-uxhwi|some]] [[item:text:diary_of_a_xtauh|xtauh]] as the Gray Highlands); on the east by the [[geography:sekhaa:marine:Windward Sea]] and the [[geography:sekhaa:region:Nest of the Sun]]; on the west by the [[geography:sekhaa:region:Refuge Range]] (aka the Pinnacles of Night) and the [[geography:sekhaa:marine:Crimson Sea]]; and on the north by the band of forest that separates it from the tundra.
