As a community very prone to hugs and other displays of affection, often quite enthusiastic, it can be important to know how someone will react. As Wyrm's site says, “Whether you like being emotional amongst others, or just don't want to be touched at all can be very important - to you at least. This tag can avoid many embarrasing (sic) moments!” and adds, “Although this tag is primarily to do with hugs, it can also be assumed that other forms of emotion or PDAs (public displays of affection) will follow suit.”

When you do, expect a violent reaction!: Wyrm's site says, “For example E++# indicates 'I am fairly free with my hugs, and when I do expect to be bowled over!'” Also known as *pounce-tackle-crash* or, more succinctly, as *glomp* (I can't believe Wiktionary had an entry for that).
