Usenet was never a particularly real-time form of communication, but it was useful to know how long it might take for someone to respond to you; this tag gave an idea about how often one was online.

Many of the traditional descriptions in this wiki are very indicative of early Internet culture, but both in terminology and assumptions about Internet usage, this tag in particular is so dated as to come across as amusing.
