Fields of Plenty

The Fields of Plenty are, in the mythological-religious complex sometimes referred to as Eyes of the Sky, the way adherents visualize the afterlife.

It is the home of Daxelh, the celestial goddess and universal mother. While the exact presentation varies between cultures, it is usually held to be a vast grassland, waving endlessly in a warm, pleasant wind, rich in game and water. Because Daxelh is within this realm rather than watching from its skies, there is neither day nor night, but an eternal, peaceful twilight.

While the souls of the wicked are said to remain in the mortal world to be incinerated in the gaze of the Burning Eye, those who have lived unshameful lives are said to live in the Fields of Plenty after death, to be reunited with their loved ones who have gone before. Should one find oneself in the heart of the Fields, where Daxelh Herself lies curled around her nest of eggs, they may at last witness their goddess in the flesh and hear Her voice. It is said that the most favored of all shall have Her full gaze turned upon them - Burning Eye and Gentle Eye both - and be unscathed in their radiance.
