The following is a list of **article prototypes**. I would have preferred to call them //templates//, but this term is already being used in two separate contexts here: DokuWiki refers to its skins or themes officially as [[https://www.dokuwiki.org/template|templates]] (for //whatever goddamn reason why would you even//), whereas [[https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:wst|WikiMedia-style templates]] - which allow you to use a shortcut to input a bunch of markup and formatting into an article - can be called through the //wst// plugin.

WSTs can be used to easily replicate a particular format, and in theory you could do this to create all instances of a particular kind of article. However, you run into problems, or at least ugliness, when all those articles contain //mostly// the same kind of information, but not all exactly the same. Sure, you could include all the possible section headings and just leave some blank - but then you've got an article with a bunch of unnecessary headings cluttering it up. So instead, I've created these prototypes; they're frameworks for organizing certain article types. It's recommended, and encouraged, that they be used, and they can be simply copypasted into a blank article of the correct type, but unnecessary headings can be deleted out as needed.
