====== Literature ======
An index of works, mostly stories, for which [[universe:mikurmiya:Avishraa]] and its [[universe:]] are the setting but which have no //in-setting// existence. Texts presented as having an existence and authorship within the setting are instead found in the [[item:text:|item:text]] namespace. RP sessions should not be included, instead appearing in the [[sessions:]] namespace; nor of course should encyclopedic articles, to which most of the rest of this wiki will be devoted.

Works can be added while still in development. These should be marked //Incomplete// in the Status column, with the date of last update marked in the appropriate column. A completed work should be changed to **Complete**.

"Canonicity" is a somewhat nebulous concept at this point, but a tentative scheme is as follows:
  * Canon: though an element of //stylistic flavor// may be present, the specific events depicted in the work are known to have happened in the [[history:]] of the setting. The 'present day' at which this cuts off is not a hard date, but is not very long into the period covered by the [[sessions:worldbuilding:Journey to the North]] RP arc; events after the beginning of 85 [[history:cloud_era:|Cloud]] or so should be scrutinized in this respect.
  * What-If: the events depicted in the work represent an alternate timeline from some point of divergence in Avishraa's past; they did not happen, but could have.
  * [[history:Wrath Era:]]: the events depicted occur in the most likely set of the possible futures proceeding from the canonical 'present day' mentioned above, in which [[person:Dlyss]] leads the [[geopolitical:Citadel:]] to possibly-apocalyptic war against the [[takma:|takmar]], the [[xtauh:]] redevelop [[concept:enchantment]] to the point of a technological revolution that catapults them to prominence, and the spread of [[concept:glyphic_teleportation|linking books]] leads to exploration and colonization of worlds beyond Avishraa.
  * [[history:Star Era:]]: the events depicted occur in a set of possible futures proceeding from contact with the [[https://www.safiria.net/wiki/doku.php|Safir Alliance]] around or shortly after the canonical 'present day'. The effects on Avishraan societies are wide-ranging and profound; Dlyss' war is somewhat forestalled, but her new priority becomes to remove or at least weaken the Alliance as an obstacle to her plans.
